Madrid in 3 days
A complete guide to discover the best of the city
DAY 1
Begin with a relaxing walk around the Retiro Park and observe the green and peaceful environment. You can consider choosing an original option of discovering it by segway instead of walking. Don’t forget to visit the Glass Palace and finish the route in the lake and rent an emblematic boat for 45 minutes.
To continue, visit the Cibeles square and have lunch in a Spanish restaurant.
When it starts to get dark, go to Gran Via and contemplate its shops, restaurants, theaters and enjoy the frenetic atmosphere. If you are a big fan of the theaters or musicals, don’t miss the opportunity to attend one of them.
Finally, discover the Madrid nightlife by going to exclusive pubs and restaurants like LobByto or Ella sky bar.
DAY 2
Start the day having a typical spanish breakfast in places such as Café de Oriente.
Once with a full stomach, you can continue your day by going around the most famous squares such as Plaza Mayor and Sol and walking around neighborhoods like Malasaña that are full of life and shops.
In the evening, enjoy a gastronomic tour and taste the typical Spanish “tapas”. Madrid is full of rooftops where you can have a drink and enjoy the city views. Don’t end the day without going to at least one of them.
DAY 3
Leave the last day to discover the surroundings of Madrid, that cannot be missed.
One option is visiting Segovia, the city with medieval walls and the typical roman aqueduct. You can also observe the city from the air with a hot air balloon.
If you prefer, you can choose Toledo, known for the medieval Arab, Jewish and Christian monuments in its ancient walled town. There you also have the option to do a wine tour around local wineries.
