Granada in 2 days

A complete guide to discover the best of the city

DAY 1

Start your day by visiting the Alhambra, one of the most famous and impressive sites in Spain. This stunning palace-fortress was the residence of the Moorish rulers of the Kingdom of Granada and is a masterpiece of Islamic art and architecture.

Be sure to book your tickets in advance, as they can sell out quickly. Explore the Albaicín neighborhood, a charming area of narrow streets and white-washed houses that dates back to the medieval era.

Stop at the Mirador de San Nicolas, a terrace with breathtaking views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the many tapas bars in the city. Granada is known for its free tapas culture, where you can get a small plate of food with your drink at a bar. Some popular tapas include fried fish, patatas bravas, and cured ham.

DAY 2

Visit the Cathedral of Granada, an impressive Renaissance-style cathedral that was built in the 16th century on the site of a former mosque. Don’t miss the Royal Chapel, which contains the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella, the Catholic monarchs who completed the reconquest of Spain from the Moors.

Take a stroll through the Realejo neighborhood, a charming area of winding streets and hidden squares. Stop at the Casa-Museo Federico García Lorca, a museum dedicated to the famous poet and playwright who was born in Granada.

Experience the flamenco culture of Granada by attending a show at one of the many venues in the city. Some popular venues include the Peña Flamenca La Platería, the Tablao Flamenco Albayzín, and the Jardines de Zoraya.

Granada is a city full of history, culture, and delicious food. With just two days, you can see the highlights of the city and experience its unique atmosphere. Enjoy your visit!
