DAY 1

Visit the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao – This iconic museum is a must-visit attraction in Bilbao. Its striking architecture and impressive art collection make it one of the top modern art museums in the world.

Take a stroll along the riverside – The Nervion River runs through Bilbao, and walking along its banks is a great way to take in the city’s scenery.

Explore the Casco Viejo (Old Town) – This charming area of the city is filled with narrow streets, historic buildings, and traditional Basque restaurants and bars.

Visit the Mercado de la Ribera – This indoor market is one of the largest in Europe and is a great place to sample local produce and cuisine. Have dinner at a pintxos bar: Pintxos are small plates of food that are a staple of Basque cuisine. Bilbao has many excellent pintxos bars where you can sample a variety of dishes.

 

 

DAY 2

Take a funicular to Mount Artxanda – This hill overlooks Bilbao and offers stunning panoramic views of the city.

Visit the San Mames Stadium – If you’re a football fan, a visit to the home of Athletic Club Bilbao is a must. The stadium is known for its impressive architecture and atmosphere.

Visit the Basque Museum – This museum provides a great introduction to Basque culture and history, with exhibits on everything from traditional costumes to Basque language and music.

Take a walk along the Abandoibarra promenade – This modern promenade runs along the river and is a great place to relax and enjoy the views.

Have dinner at a traditional Basque restaurant – Bilbao is known for its excellent cuisine, and there are many great restaurants where you can try traditional Basque dishes such as hake in green sauce or grilled beef ribs.
