Day 1. Óbidos – Nazaré – Porto

Day 1 – From Lisbon to Óbidos, Nazaré & Porto

Begin your journey in Óbidos, one of Portugal’s most beautiful and best-preserved medieval towns, completely surrounded by ancient walls. Stroll through its narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, discover the hidden Jewish quarter, and walk along Rua Direita, filled with traditional shops and local flavors. At the top of the village, admire the impressive 12th-century castle, one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal, and take in stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Continue to Nazaré, the iconic fishing village that has gained global fame for its record-breaking giant waves. Visit the Forte de São Miguel, perched above the Atlantic cliffs, and explore the historic Sítio district, a place of pilgrimage with its blend of medieval fortifications, baroque sanctuaries, and sweeping ocean vistas. Whether you’re drawn by the surf culture or the dramatic natural beauty, Nazaré will leave a lasting impression.

At lunch time, arrive in Porto, where you’ll stay overnight in a handpicked boutique hotel located in the heart of the city. But this isn’t just a stop, it’s a highlight. As the sun sets, Porto transforms into a city of light and flavor. Cross the Dom Luís I bridge, stroll along the Ribeira, enjoy a glass of Porto wine by the Douro River, or dine in one of the city’s excellent local restaurants, where northern Portuguese cuisine comes alive.

The hotel itself is part of the experience: elegant, full of local charm, and ideally located in Porto’s historic center, housed in the iconic Fish Market Hall. Enjoy a drink on the terrace while taking in magnificent views of the Arrábida Bridge.

Day 2 – Porto & Lisbon

On Day 2, after a relaxed breakfast, the city is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Take in Porto’s highlights: visit the Lello Bookstore, climb the Clérigos Tower, browse the colorful Bolhão Market, or simply let yourself be carried through the tiled streets and riverside beauty.

You can also take the opportunity to try the local cuisine with a ‘francesinha’ for lunch — a hearty sandwich made with layers of cured meats, steak, and sausage, covered in melted cheese and a rich, spicy beer-based sauce. Don’t miss the chance to visit one of the renowned wineries, where you can taste and learn all about the famous Port wine.
