Bowling in Barcelona: where to play with friends and family
Bowling is one of the best activities to do with friends and family, whether you’re a bowling crack shot or you’ve never been before. The odd balls are bound to end up in the gutter, and someone’s bound to get a strike and boast about it for the rest of the day.
In Barcelona and its surrounding areas there are plenty of bowling alleys visited by locals and tourists alike, who turn up to knock down those 10 pins. Below we suggest some of the best bowling alleys in Barcelona, and at the end of the article we recommend a few fun experiences to get you discovering the city through activities with your friends and family.
Bowling Pedralbes, just next to the Nou Camp
The most famous bowling alley in Barcelona is found just next to the Nou Camp, F.C Barcelona’s stadium. Barcelona. Has 14 lanes and an American vibe as well as pool tables, table football and a restaurant.
As it’s in a university area, you’ll often see groups of young students going for bowling and a few drinks after class.
New Park Bowling, La Maquinista and Parc Vallès
New Park Bowling has a bowling alley in the La Maquinista shopping centre and at Parc Vallès. La Maquinista is the largest shopping centre in Catalonia and sometimes it even has its own ice rink at Christmas… so imagine how big it is!
Parc Vallès is found on the outskirts of Barcelona, in Terrassa to be exact, about 30 minutes by car. It’s a shopping centre with many leisure activities on offer; as well as bowling it has a casino, virtual reality games, a cinema and pubs.
Ilusiona, Diagonal Mar, Gran Via 2 and Splau
Ilusiona’s bowling alleys are found in 3 shopping centres. Diagonal Mar, in the Sant Andreu district, Gran Via 2, in L’Hospitalet, and Splau, in Cornellà.
At night they often have music and create a club-like atmosphere like you’d see in an American movie, but they always manage to maintain a vibrant atmosphere.
Other fun activities to do in Barcelona
World Experience offers you small-sized group activities, ideal to help you discover the city and have a great time. We recommend these two:
The tour by land, sea and air is one of the most spectacular tours we offer, with a bicycle tour, a cable car journey and a boat trip. All of this whilst visiting Gaudi’s most symbolic attractions like the Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló.
A guided tour of Ciutat Vella with tapas, wine and flamenco is ideal for discovering Barcelona by night, its cuisine and its culture. Why not end a day of bowling with friends and family by seeing a Spanish flamenco show?
